ASU NASA Space Grant, Undergraduate, School of Earth and Space Exploration
Research Interests: Astrobiology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Origin of Life
Education: B.S.'s in Astrobiology and Biotechnology from Arizona State University (expected May, 2020)
Current Research: I currently work as a lab assistant in Dr. Shelley Havdel's lab at the Biodesign Institute through the SOLUR program researching metal zeolites' and geopolymers' effects on MRSA. Having just been selected as an ASU NASA Space Grant Scholar, I am new to astrobiology research and Dr. Walker's lab but am excited at the opportunity to learn more about life, both its origin and possibility beyond Earth.
Personal: As the son of a pilot, I am an avid traveler always looking forward to visiting new destinations. At home, I enjoy cooking and especially eating. I also like to play videogames (sad to say I'm part of the current Fortnite fad) and watch TV, anything from the NFL to Downton Abbey. Another favorite pastime is reading; I am about to finish Armada and am looking for more good sci/fi or fantasy books.
