Members of the Emergence@ASU group are headed to national and international conferences this summer to present their work.
Graduate student Cole Mathis is participating in the Sante Fe Institute's Complex Systems Summer School held in Sante Fe NM. Graduate students Harrison Smith and Ryan Brosch will be presenting at the annual Astrobiology Graduate Student Conference in Troy NY. Postdocs Hyunju Kim and Ted Pavlic, and graduate student Alyssa Adams are headed to Artificial Life XIV in New York City to present their work. Ted and Alyssa will be presenting their paper entitled "Self-referencing cellular automata: A model of the evolution of information control in biological systems" and Hyunju will present a talk on her work on the "Informational Architecture of the Fission Yeast Cell Cycle Regulatory Network". Postdoc Hyunju Kim will also be headed to Italy to present her results at the ECCS’14 European Conference on Complex Systems this fall.
